Funding
Simply put, our schools need to be adequately funded to support our amazing staff and provide what makes FCPS special. Right now, FCPS is funded primarily through county tax revenue and a small share from the state. As funding from the state is called into question, the Fairfax County School Board needs to be ready to justify and maximize our public tax dollars for public education!
STEAM Education
Dell Technologies has predicted the future landscape of work for our children, and there is no question if they will need to embrace science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) to be successful. The Fairfax County School Board needs members that have experience making STEAM education a reality.
Military-Connected Students
There are more than 14,000 military-connected youth in Fairfax County Public Schools. They deserve representation from someone that has experience in and around the issues unique to them.
